Inquiry & Booking
First, you will inquire through the form on the contact page. I will learn more about your desires for the session through an online questionnaire. You will select a date that coordinates with both of our schedules. After paying the retainer fee for your session, your date is officially booked on my calendar.
Pre-Session Planning
I am available to help you plan your session. My goal is for the photos to capture the true essence of your family. I will send you a prep guide that discusses tips for the session and includes inspiration for clothing options. We will discuss the lighting in your home to best plan for the day of the session.
Day of Session
I want this to be a fun experience for your family - not just a check mark for having family photos made for the year. When I arrive, you will give me a tour of your home, and we will mainly utilize the spaces that receive the best light. I will guide you into a flattering position and then encourage natural interaction to showcase the authentic joy and love of your family.
Gallery Delivery
Within 2 weeks, you can see the story of your family unfold as you view your gallery of images. You can download your images directly from the gallery. If you wish to order prints, wall art and/or an album to have tangible memories from our session, you can order directly through your online gallery. I am always available to assist you in this process. Enjoy!

Is it okay if my home is not perfectly decorated?
Yes!
Most homes do not look like they came straight out of a magazine! My job is to capture the joy and love that is present in your home regardless of the decor. YOU and your family are the ones I am showcasing.
Do you only do sessions in people's homes?
Yes!
I have spend the last six years at home with my two boys 24/7. I have learned that we are our truest selves at our own home. Years from now, I want to remember the window they looked out every morning the trash truck drove by. I want to hear their squeals as they rode balance bikes in circles through the living room. I want to smell the sweet smell of cookies baking after a bag of flour exploded on the kitchen floor.
Despite all the hard and messy times, HOME is where you have built the love that holds your family together. I believe it is easiest and most authentic to capture this feeling at your home.
What happens during a session at our home?
Once I arrive, I will ask you to give me a tour of your home. I am looking for light. This is what will guide which areas we use during the session.
After that, I will guide you and direct you in a way that encourages your natural interaction between you and your kids.
Your session could look like tickle fights and snuggles on the couch. It could happen around a family piano if music is important to your family. It may include reading a story on the floor of your child's bedroom.
I capture whatever is special and important to you - the things that are building your family legacy.
What if my children are wild and crazy during the session?
Good news! I was an elementary educator prior to being a full-time mommy, so I have lots of experience with getting kids to follow directions to accomplish a task.
Also, I'm going to guess that "wild and crazy" is a part of the story of your family, anyways. Playful, energetic photos are magical, because that is true to who your kids are and how you will remember this stage of their life.
Can you only take pictures of our kids?
Sorry, but no.
I require participation from parents because you are a big part of the story of your family. These photos will be special to your children years from now as they remember the love they received from you growing up.
Also, I'm going to assume that you are not in many photos with your children. Please, allow me to show you the way your children see you daily. Your hugs, your smile, and your presence are so special to your kids. Let me capture that for you, and for them!

How do you make hospital or birthplace photos look good?
I am capturing the raw, real, and intimate moments that occur in the very first moments you are meeting your baby. Believe me, these sacred moments will pass by so quickly and you are busy bonding with your brand new baby. Let me freeze these special moments for you to look back on. They will be beautiful because this moment in your life is beautiful.
