Have you ever booked a photo session, and then stressed over how to dress everyone in your family? I know it has happened to me, and I'm a professional photographer! As part of my client experience, I am available to assist you in curating your family's wardrobe. This will ensure that all the outfits coordinate and have the perfect visual interest to help create that magical photo every family desires. In our conversations leading up to your session, I will gather some information to help me know how to style your family, like:
- What "feel" do you want your photos to have? Elegant, yet casual? Playful and laidback? Elevated and dressy?
- What clothing to you enjoy wearing? Dresses or Jeans? Color or neutral?
- Is there anything your children dislike wearing? (Uncomfortable kiddos equal unhappy attitudes...)
- What is currently in your closet that we could use as a baseline for your outfits?
- Is there a price point you would like to stick to or a certain online store you would like to order from?
After gathering this information, I will create a style board with direct links to the pieces of clothing shown to give you an idea of where to begin when thinking about your outfits for your family session. We can continue to discuss options and update the style board until we have a cohesive look that we are both excited about.

Elegant At-Home Family Photos
In this first set of style boards, I chose a colorful, flowy floral dress for Mom and used Dad's and the kids' wardrobe choices to accent the colors from the flowers. I, personally, love how the colors are fun and playful for the summer time, but if your style is more neutral, we can find looks that fit you! This type of style board is great if you are certain you want to use a specific outfit for yourself (Mama). That outfit will be the baseline, and then I can build all the other outfits around it.
Playful Back Yard Pool Photos
How fun would it be to have a photo session with your kids in your back yard pool?! These style boards show two different color options - one is more timeless and classic, while the other is bursting with trendy, bright colors! Both would be absolutely stunning, and imagine the splashing and laughter that would fill the session as we captured this classic summer activity!

The last style board is for a family who wants a casual, laid back vibe for their at-home family photos. The colorful romper for Mom, once again was the base for all the other outfits for the family.
