Your Lifestyle
senior Photographer
Hi,
I'm Lauren!
senior Photographer
I’m so excited to work with you! Thank you for trusting me to document this amazing milestone. Senior year is such a meaningful chapter—full of growth, confidence, and anticipation for what’s next—and I can’t wait to capture the things that make you uniquely you.
This guide will walk you through what to expect and how to prepare for your senior session. More than anything, I want this experience to feel relaxed, fun, and true to who you are. So don’t stress about being perfect—just show up as yourself. When you look back on these photos, I hope you see not just how you looked, but how it felt to be in this season of life.
The Experience
Senior sessions are all about celebrating you—your style, your story, and the person you’ve become. No stiff poses or forced smiles here—just a relaxed, personalized experience that lets your true personality shine. Whether you’re outgoing and adventurous or quiet and thoughtful, my goal is to create images that feel like you in this moment.
We’ll work together to choose locations that reflect your vibe—maybe it’s a favorite hangout spot, somewhere meaningful, or just a place with beautiful light and great energy. During the session, I’ll gently guide you through natural prompts and movements so you feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera (no modeling experience required!).
This experience is meant to be fun, laid-back, and a chance to reflect on this exciting season. From what you wear to where we go, every detail is chosen with you in mind—so the final images feel authentic, effortless, and timeless.
LOCATION
Location plays a big role in the overall feel of your session, and I’m here to help you find one that fits your style and personality. I have a Senior Location Guide you can browse for inspiration—it includes some of my favorite go-to spots with a variety of looks, from natural and outdoorsy to urban and modern.
That said, some of the most meaningful sessions happen in places that are special to you. Think about a favorite hangout, your high school campus, a spot where you love to spend time, or even your own backyard. Choosing a location that feels personal can make your photos even more unique and meaningful.
Take a peek at the guide below for ideas, and feel free to bring your own suggestions too—I’m always up for exploring somewhere new!
What to Wear
Your outfit choices play a big part in telling your story and setting the tone for your photos. I recommend bringing 2–3 different outfits to help show off the different sides of your personality.
Think variety—something dressy for a more polished look, something casual that feels like your everyday style, and maybe something hobby- or interest-specific(like a jersey, uniform, instrument, or even a favorite graphic tee). You can also add a trendy or bold outfit if fashion is your thing!
When planning your outfits, consider where we’ll be shooting. If we’re heading into a nature setting, earthy tones and neutrals tend to look great. For a downtown or more modern backdrop, bolder colors or patterns can work beautifully. Try to avoid large logos or super busy patterns—they can be distracting and take the focus away from you.
Most importantly, wear what feels like you. You should feel confident, comfortable, and like yourself. If you’re unsure, feel free to send me outfit options or ask for input—I'm happy to help! Click the links below for some clothing inspiration photos.
Hair, Makeup & Accessories
Hair and makeup can make a big difference in how you feel during your session. Whether you go full glam or keep it natural, the key is feeling like the best version of you. If you’re doing your own hair and makeup, give yourself plenty of time so you’re not rushed. A little extra attention—like curled hair, a bit of mascara, or even just lip gloss—can go a long way on camera.
Professional hair and makeup is always a great option if you want a little pampering or an extra boost of confidence. Just be sure it still feels like you and reflects your everyday style.
Accessories can add personality and polish to your look—think statement earrings, layered necklaces, a favorite hat, or even something sentimental. Just keep it simple and cohesive with your outfit so the focus stays on you.
And don’t forget the little things: clean nails, lint-free clothes, and wrinkle-free outfits help everything look fresh and put together in photos!
Thank you again for choosing me to capture this special season.
I’m truly honored to be part of your story, and I can’t wait to create something beautiful together.
Let’s make it unforgettable.
xo, Lauren
