I’m so excited to work with you! Thank you for trusting me to capture this sweet stage in your baby’s life. Each season of babyhood is so fleeting—and so full of magic. Whether your little one is just starting to smile, sit up, crawl, or run, I can’t wait to photograph the little details that make this moment unforgettable.


This guide will help you prepare for your milestone session. Above all, remember that these portraits are meant to be simple, natural, and full of joy - capturing the sweet, ever-changing details.

What to expect


Milestone sessions are 20 minutes long and focused solely on your baby (or toddler). Sessions can take place at home, outdoors, or in a studio setting (We've more than likely already chatted about this, but feel free to send me a message, and we can chat more). We’ll keep things light and playful—perfect for babies on the move or those just learning to sit or stand.

what to wear


Choose clothing that is timeless, yet playful. You’ll want outfits that let your baby’s personality shine while still feeling special. Think of soft, neutral tones, gentle textures, or classic patterns like subtle stripes or florals. Avoid large logos or words, which can distract from the moment. Here are a few ideas:


  • 3 months: Snuggly rompers, simple onesies, or swaddles that show off tiny fingers and toes.
  • 6 months: Soft outfits that show off sitting skills—bubble rompers, overalls, or bloomers with a sweet top.
  • 9 months: Clothes that are comfortable for crawling or standing with help. Think playful but polished.
  • One year: A special birthday outfit (without going too themed), or something classic like suspenders or a sweet dress. Bare feet are always welcome!
  • 18 months: Simple clothes that move easily. We want to capture curiosity, energy, and those little teeth when they smile.
